Trying to comprehend the scale of the universe is impossible, this video however provides a unique perspective.

The funny thing about that video (other than the music) is that they make a big deal out of the idea that we will be travelling at 186000 miles per second and that they are going the speed of light (“let us travel at the speed of light” etc.), but if that were the case the video would have to take 8 minutes 19 seconds (according to the video itself) to get to Earth, but it actually only takes about 12 seconds. That said, it does do a good job of conveying the unimaginable vastness of space. I just couldn’t resist commenting on that part. 🙂 Do you know when that video was made or where it comes from?

I don’t know any of the specifics of this video, it was just something I found on youtube that seemed interesting and attempted to explain the vastness of the universe in a way that most people could follow.

    Thanks for your comment.
